Halloween 2009

Fun Fun Fun....
Had a great Halloween,
this year Abbie was one of the big kids and tried to show Brandin how it is done, better luck next year.
Debbie, Ted, Sean, Jeanna  and Brandin joined us for our halloween fun this year, and I have no idea why I have no pictures of them?! But none the less we had fun passing out candy and playing.

After a night of halloween parting who doesn't love to go car shopping?!? We are in the market for a new car, narrowed it down to two. The Toyota, Prius and the Honda, Insight. This is dash board for both cars, we have been knit picking them apart all night...

note how the honda looks... so much more user friendly.
I feel like we are comparing a MAC and a PC. (Hope we don't pick the PC. heehee)
Wish us luck in our hunt for a smoking deal!

My team did well today...
Go Vikings!

Halloween Fever

Week one of Husband's new job has been completed!! We are all
missing his old schedule but at least this keeps us in California.

Halloween has officially started at our house.
We finally put out all the holiday decor.
Abbie has claimed it all her own and
has been playing house with and rearrange
every five min. or so, so funny.
Saturday has become our special day together (DAD is at work).
We do nothing but play dolls, ride
bikes, or have a costume fashion show....

This was one of many costume changes,
I will not post what she made wear not pretty.

This is our beloved plumeria plants first bloom of the season.
Purchased on our honeymoon, this plant has survived 7 years.

Weekend full of fun!!

This weekend was a farewell to summer, hello to fall celebration at our house (but it was hard to believe that summer was gone, being that it was 92 on Friday).

We kicked it off on Friday by going to Disneyland and California Adventure ALL DAY.

Saturday was HOT as well bet the celebration had to continue while Paul was at work. Abbie and I meet up with Joyce and Hunter for a fun filled day of Pumpkins and swimming.

Abbie had a blast at the pumpkin patch!!

Then we were off to the pool!!!

Then it was sunday...... nothing was planned so where did we go?
Disneyland of course we can never get enough of that place. It was Hunters first visit yah!!!
The temperature was a cool 82, so it was nice.

We had a great weekend with the Sleeis' and I hope we can do it all again soon!

procrastination at its finest

procrastinaceous

procrastinaceous proh-kras-tuh-neyt-a-ceou s - adjective: 1. active, continuous and seemingly unending procrastination that affects productive work in detrimental ways.
2. doing everything else except your work despite impending deadlines.
This week I am working from home and have a lot on my plate but..... somehow I keep finding other things to do that have nothing to do with art or my job.

Like baking muffins for no reason other than I can.
Well back to work, before the princess wakes up..

Abbie's new style

So this little girl loves to shop ( the teen years are going to be scary!) We went shopping as a family to get business attire for HUSBAND'S NEW JOB! So while he was shopping for things that we had no interest in, us girls did our own shopping.

Abbie has her own style this is for sure, this hat is what she spent her money on. I tryed to talk her into a baseball cap but no luck.

Abbie had 5$ and the hat was $3.99. She marched up to the front by herself and paid the lady with a huge smile on her face.

Home Grown Hot Sauce

Abbie and I love to cook together today we where adventurous we made "slap your mamma hot, hot sauce"...

Abbie helped pick the peppers and stir the pot (while holding her nose). It was really easy but boy did the house smell spicy.

Ingredients:
1/3 pound of your favorite fresh hot peppers (You can use a single variety or mix them)
1/2 cup distilled white vinegar (5% acidity)
1/3 teaspoon pickling salt*
Directions:
Wearing disposable, powder free, latex, protective gloves, cut the peppers in half, (optional: remove and discard the membranes and seeds.)
Using a food processor, finely chop the peppers and put them in a large pot.
Add the vinegar and salt.
Simmer gently for 5 minutes over medium heat. (Open all the doors and windows and turn your stove's vent fan on "high"!)
Using a wide mouth plastic funnel, ladle the mixture into a large heatproof sterilized glass jar or several small heatproof sterilized glass jars with non-corrosive lids.
Store the bottles in a cool dark place for one year.
Using a small mouth plastic funnel, ladle the sauce in small sterilized glass jars or bottles.
It will keep indefinitely in your refrigerator.

Still a puppy!

After a long day at work, then a fun filled night at disneyland we came home to this....

Oh that Dog.

The book "O" Abbie

Abbie made a book about herself at school here are a few of the best pages...

1. Picture of herself (of course) under it she wrote: Today I feel "happy but a little tired"
2. Picture of pizza, a muffin, and a strawberry.
3. This one is funny, it is a picture of our family, even Bella is in there.

Happy 1st Birthday Bella

Bella is One year old today! Soooo when will all the crazy puppy stuff stop?!? Abbie and I are down to one pair of flip flops each (Joyce hurry back with our replacement flip flops!!). Stuffed animals and dolls have a short life at our house as well. Poor Baby Molly never had a chance...

We named Bella after the actor Bella Lugosi, one because it is funny, two because I was reading Twilight when we found her (Duhh), and third because she looks like him. (hee hee)

6 weeks

12 Weeks

 6 months

one year old!

She is such a boogger, but we love her.
After a short search I found this cake recipe online, it's a cake for dogs! Abbie and I are going to make it this weekend. Abbie thinks she is going to cook this in her easy bake oven, but with luck I will talk her out of this one.

So we will let you know how it turns out and if Bella likes it. Happy Birthday Bellzer Lugosi!

Ahhh the weekend is here!

Sometimes you just need a break from everything. No plan for the weekend, is always a good plan!

So with no idea where I was heading, I left for my morning run. Bella and I ended up on a crazy hike. We stated at the top of O'neil Park, we then took the Eagle Trail down into the park. Somewhere along the trail we went off course, and ended up on a crazy path that was NOT the trail. I had to take Bella off the leash as we scaled down a cliff side (sorry Mr. Park Ranger). Almost falling head over feet, we ran as fast as we could to the creek bed. Bella was like a little billy goat hopping from rock to rock, looking back at me every now and then as if she was worried I might not make it. Feeling a bit nervous and not sure where we were, we followed the creek back into the park. Once back in the park we took a DIFFERENT trail back home.

Distance: 4 miles
Time: 60 min
trail hiking is hard on the timed distance... oh well next time we will gun it the whole way! Look out cliffs here we come.

Then we were off to Disneyland...

we all stuffed in one tea cup.

Abbie loves to see how fast we can get going (don't throw-up grandpa)
A weekend is never complete without a trip to Disneyland.
